One of the most celebrated works of American literature, a compelling human drama about friendship, misunderstanding, jealousy, commitment, loneliness and hope during one of our nation’s most challenging times, the Great Depression. Steinbeck’s masterpiece tells the story of two roving farm hands, George and his friend Lennie, who find work on a ranch in California and are forced to confront their delusions of living off the “fat of the land.”
