Book, Music and Lyrics by Meredith Willson
Story by Meredith Willson and Franklin Lacey
“Gleaming,
fantastic and exuberant! A joyous ride you won’t want to miss!”
— Sam
Whitehead, Time Out New York
This
Broadway classic is an all-American institution, thanks to quirky characters,
charmingly predictable situations, and a one-of-a-kind score of rousing marches,
barbershop quartets and sentimental ballads. The Music Man follows fast-talking
salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City into buying instruments
and uniforms for a band he vows to organize. His plans to skip town with the
money are foiled when he falls in love with Marian the librarian. The Music Man
is family entertainment as its best!
